At Bethany Early Childhood Center, we use a Creative Curriculum based on age-specific milestones to help inspire creativity, develop skills, and build character. The seamless progression between our five play-based classrooms helps produce well-rounded students ready for kindergarten and beyond.
18 mo – 2.5 years
In our youngest room, children are introduced to the fundamentals of school and being part of a daily routine. We focus on:
• Sharing
• Taking turns
• Potty training support
This program is a gentle introduction to school that is available for half-days only, 4 days per week. This program is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and is closed on Wednesdays.
2.5 – 3 years
Building off the sharing skills we learn in the Duckling room, our Owls start expanding their horizons with lessons about:
• Managing emotions
• Continuing potty training confidence
• Expanding vocabulary
3 – 3.5 years
Sparrows expand their social emotional skills while exploring developmentally appropriate academics. In this room, we delve into:
• Cognitive abilities
• Early academic curriculum
• Conflict resolution and empathy
3.5 – 4 years
Our Puffin classroom pushes ahead with school readiness, building the foundations for new challenges, such as:
• Prewriting
• Early reading skills
• Letter and number recognition
4 – 5 years
Our oldest classroom zeroes in on kindergarten readiness. We want our students to feel confident going into elementary school, so in addition to academics, we continue emphasis on patience, focus, and following directions. Students develop skills in:
• Handwriting
• Creativity
• Multi-step projects
